Luton Town Football Club is seeking to appoint an Academy Coach to join its thriving coaching structure on a casual basis.

Minimum Qualification of UEFA B Only Considered

Working either in our Foundation or Youth Development Phases the successful candidate will be committed and passionate in successfully developing football players. Reporting to the Phase Lead Coach, the post-holder will:

  • Provide quality, age appropriate coaching to players in accordance with the Academy philosophy and coaching curriculum
  • Deliver, monitor and periodically review each player’s individual learning plan • Be fully conversant with the PMA, ensuring all player records, session planning and administration is completed in an accurate and timely manner

JOB DESCRIPTION  Grasshoppers Club Zürich

Job Purpose

The Head of Media & Communication will create, implement and review the Club’s media strategy, ensuring it is always completely aligned to the Clubs overall objectives.

You will be responsible for creating engaging content across all the Club’s media platforms, including the club website and social media channels. You will work closely with the Club’s key spokespeople (Head Coach / Technical Director / Executive Chairman / Managing Director) to fulfil media requests and to advise on media messaging and strategy.

You will be responsible for managing press queries, interview requests and the day-to-day operation of the football press office. You will also oversee the department’s social media content, matchday activity and proactively manage all media relations, including crisis management issues.

As well as on-pitch departments, you will also work closely with the Club’s off-the-pitch departments to maximise publicity and coverage for commercial areas where appropriate (retail / ticketing / commercial sponsors etc.).

 

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and fully manage the media department to ensure all relevant communications strategies are delivered to an excellent standard.

• Oversee and ensure the ongoing development of the Club’s social media strategy, managing and monitoring all the club’s social media channels, alongside the Head of Marketing where appropriate.

• Handle a variety of media queries on a daily basis, including player, management and board interview requests from international, national and local media and ensuring these are dealt with in an appropriate, relevant and timely manner.

• Co-ordinate all press conferences and official photo-shoots which relate to the first team, the manager, the Board, the Club – including pre and post-match press conferences and player signings.

• Act as a main contact for all crisis management – including but not limited to the writing of proactive and reactive club statements and to act as the club’s spokesperson on a range of matters.

• Contribute to the club’s internal communications strategy.

• Work in co-operation and fully support the Club’s marketing and commercial departments to ensure maximum exposure of all club-related products and also to support commercial sponsors and partners with media activity.

• Ensure compliance on all regulations and/or rules by which the Club is bound in respect of the Swiss Football Association in relation to Press and Media obligations.

• Work in-conjunction with the chosen website provider, to ensure best practice digital strategy is created and implemented and to help ensure the website is up to a very high standard.

• Monitor social media stats, including player and staff tweets/posts – ensuring they are appropriate and compliant at all times with the relevant bodies.

• Responsible for media operations and working with broadcasters on a match day.

• Provide match day support for home games and away games where necessary and appropriate, co-ordinating post-match press conference with manager and interview requests for players. Then produce manager quotes piece for website and player interview if required.

• To work in-conjunction with the other Heads of Departments on fan engagement matters.

• Be the main conduit for building relationships with national, regional and local media.

• Responsibility for overseeing the production and development of the match day programme, ensuring all deadlines are met and that it is produced to a good standard.

• Day-to-day responsibility for the match day programme budget, ensuring all financial targets are met, in conjunction with the Head of Marketing where/when appropriate.

• Any other reasonable request made by the Executive Director.

• As a public representative of the Club to adopt high standards of professionalism, timekeeping and appearance at all times.

 

Skills/Knowledge/Qualifications

Essential

• High standards of writing and overall communication skills.

• Understanding of media relations strategy and delivery

JOB DESCRIPTION  Wigan Athletic

Wigan Athletic Community Trust is looking to recruit a School Sports and Cohesion Coach on a fixed term contract to join its successful and respected team and provide a high quality PE and School Sport offer to primary schools in the Wigan area. The role also involves assisting in the delivery of the Premier League Kicks and the EFL Every Player Counts projects.

This is a fixed term contract, ending on 31st August 2021, working full time role [37.5 hours per week] with some evening and weekend work as and when required. 

The role will also involve supporting the delivery of the Kicks project which offers free sports, training and volunteering opportunities to over 1,500 young people in Wigan each year.

Salary: £17,005 per annum

You will:

  • Deliver high quality football and sports coaching in Wigan primary schools as part of the Community Trust’s PE Curriculum offer.
  • Ensure that all activities delivered are in line with the Primary School PE Curriculum and OFSTED guidelines.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with host schools and all staff within the schools to ensure continuation of PE contracts with selected schools.
  • Assist in the delivery of evening football and sport sessions as part of the Premier League Kicks project and the EFL Every Player Counts project.
  • Manage an adult disability football team playing fixtures once on a month on a Friday evening.

You will:

  • Have a National Governing Body Level 2 Coaching Award or 1st 4sport Level 2 Award in Multi Skills Development in Sport.
  • Have a Level 1 Coaching Award in one or more sports other than football.
  • Have a proven track record of successfully delivering coaching in schools/community settings to young people of all abilities and ages.
  • Be able to travel to different sites to deliver sessions.

General Manager Women’s World Cup, Legacy & Inclusion New Zealand Football

ROLE SUMMARY

As a key member of the SLT, you will be responsible for ensuring New Zealand Football’s responsibilities and obligations with regard to the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup (WWC) are met whilst leading the development and seamless delivery of the leverage and legacy programme for the WWC.

You will ensure that NZF’s obligations and requirements with FIFA are met with respect to being a host member association during the event as well as supporting FIFA in their deliverables in the build up to and during the event to maximise the benefit to football in New Zealand and help deliver the best Women’s World Cup ever.
